It has been produced for centuries according to the ancient original recipe of the Dutch Boonekamp family. Petrus Boonekamp, an illustrious Dutch liqueur maker born in 1734, first obtained this bitter in 1777 in Leidschendam by infusing rare plant substances collected on all continents. Since then, the fame of Petrus Boonekamp bitter has spread rapidly throughout the world. Many herbs are used in the composition of Petrus bitter. Among others, Alpinia Galanga, Angelica archangelica, Gentian lutea and many precious spices from all over the world. Gluten free
