Xenta Absenta... dal caratteristico colore verde smeraldo, ha un profumo speziato con predominanza di anice e sentori di bacche selvatiche ed erba fresca. Al palato ha un gusto deciso, caldo ed avvolgente con un fresco ricordo di anice e menta. Gradazione alcoolica: 70% vol., da consumarsi esclusivamente diluito.
L'assenzio, detto anche "liquore maledetto" o "fata verde" era la bevanda di artisti, poeti e scrittori dell'epoca bohémienne parigina, come Van Gogh, Picasso, Verlaine, Rimbaud, Oscar Wilde, che lo bevevano per i suoi decantati poteri allucinogeni ed afrodisiaci.
Queste proprietà erano conferite dal tujone, principio attivo della pianta dell'artemisia absinthium.
A partire dal 1907, l'assenzio venne vietato in Svizzera, in Francia, in Italia e in molti altri paesi europei e negli Stati Uniti.
Il divieto fu più che giusto: in troppi abusavano di questa bevanda allora tanto mitizzata, i produttori non sapevano – o non volevano – ridurre il tujone a quantità assorbibili senza danno, e troppi fabbricanti senza scrupoli aggiungevano all'assenzio il solfato di rame, i cui effetti erano devastanti.

Returns and Refunds
- You can return any product within 14 days without giving a reason.
- If your package arrived with missing or damaged products , please fill out the report form at the bottom of the page. Remember to attach photos if the products are damaged.
